Patches the official Roland SP-404MK2 firmware with DOOM OS right here in your browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, and the page works offline.

Get the firmware from Roland
Download the system update from Roland's support page and unzip it. You need the SP404MKII_APP1.bin file inside; the other file, SP404MKII_APP0.bin, is not needed.

Load the file and patch it
Drop the file on the panel below, or click it to choose. The file is checked first, then patched in memory.
Install it on the SP-404MK2
- Copy the patched SP404MKII_APP1.bin to the root of the SD card.
- Put the card in the SP, hold SHIFT and switch it on. Wait for the updater menu and press the VALUE knob.
- When the update is done, switch the SP off and on again.
How to use DOOM OS
If everything went well, you'll be greeted with a fancy DOOM OS boot animation!
In the same settings, the Version tab shows the installed version.
Open DOOM OS with the key combo REMAIN + SUB PAD.

Have fun!
What if something goes wrong?
Download the official firmware from Roland again and install it the usual way. This will restore the stock firmware.
